Years ago, I had a computer game called “Zoo Tycoon”. Players would make a zoo from scratch, and the idea was to ensure that all the animals were in their proper habitat, upkeep fencing, etc. You would get money for new animals and upgrades/upkeep by having a zoo nice enough that people would [...]

The Libertarian Party and Its Candidates
I can’t help feeling that I am still the best Libertarian candidate out there. I still intend to write in my own name unless Ron Paul somehow gets the Republican nomination. Then I may have a crisis. In a good way. I am sure [...]

John White of Riverhead, New York, was convicted by a jury of killing Daniel Cicciaro.
White is a grown man, whereas Cicciaro was a teenager. More to the point in this case, White is black, while Cicciaro was white.
Normally I wouldn’t note someone’s race, since it’s irrelevant. However, Mr. White’s defense was based upon race.
Apparently [...]

Nataline Sarkasyan, a 17-year-old girl in California, developed leukemia. She received a bone-marrow transplant from her brother, but developed a complication which caused her liver to fail.
On December 11th, her doctors at UCLA Medical Center (consistently rated as one of the top three hospitals in the country) sent a letter to her insurance [...]

It is a disturbing trend, and apparently quite trendy in Florida, for doctors (pediatricians in particular) to prescribe antipsychotic medication to children under the age of five. Some of those children are age zero, which of course means that they are infants.
However, there is no proof that psychosis can be diagnosed at all in children [...]

The recent announcement of the pregnancy of Britney Spears’ 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, the star of Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101″, has sparked a controversy. Jamie Lynn has said the father is her boyfriend of two and a half years, 19-year-old Casey Aldridge (who, quite amusingly to me, she met at church). That means he [...]
