More pure weirdness from the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” camp

January 7, 2008 by ElfNinosMom

Tim ChapmanFrom The Honolulu Advertiser:

‘DOG’ SIDEKICK HELD IN NAKED INCIDENT

A sidekick of TV bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman was free on bail last night after being charged with first-degree terroristic threatening.

Tim Chapman, 42, was released on $11,000 bail last night, five hours after he turned himself in to police investigating a report of a naked man in a pickup truck at Ala Moana Center Thursday night.

A security guard who recognized Chapman told him to put on his clothes and get out of the truck, but after putting on his clothes, Chapman started his truck, drove over a sidewalk, nearly hitting the guard, and drove off, police said.

Chapman’s attorney, Brook Hart, said it was all a misunderstanding.

“It was simply a man who wet his pants with orange juice inadvertently and was changing them, doing nothing wrong at all and believing he had sufficient privacy to do it,” Hart said.

Sure, I always carry a spare pair of pants in my vehicle, just in case I wet my pants with orange juice. LOL

If he spilled something on his pants and was just changing into clean ones, why was he naked? Wouldn’t he still have his shirt on? Wouldn’t he still have his underwear on? Why would he change his pants in the truck, obviously in a public area, when he could have gone to a public restroom to do that?

It makes absolutely no sense that someone like Tim Chapman, who understands the criminal justice system better than the average person, and who deals with it on an ongoing basis, would flee the scene like a maniac if in fact he wasn’t doing anything illegal. Fleeing the scene suggests consciousness of guilt, after all.

Can you even imagine the filthy name-calling that would come out of Dog’s mouth if he didn’t know Tim, and knew only what Tim was accused of doing? “First-degree terroristic threatening” sounds like a very bad charge, after all, so Dog would be calling him every name in the book without even knowing anything else about him, and even if he hadn’t been convicted of anything yet.

I just love it when stuff like this comes around to bite the holier-than-thou contingent.

I do think it’s hilarious that it took a bail bondsman five hours to get bailed out himself. Maybe Dog couldn’t hear the phone through his KKK mask. ;-)

Anyhoo, Tim’s been charged with a Class C felony, which definitely carries a prison term upon conviction, but I can’t calculate the potential sentence in that state without knowing not only whether he has any prior convictions, but also how long ago his last conviction, if any, took place.

Here are the laws applicable to the charges. Click on the links to read the commentary on its application in that state.

§707-715 Terroristic threatening, defined. A person commits the offense of terroristic threatening if the person threatens, by word or conduct, to cause bodily injury to another person or serious damage to property of another or to commit a felony:

(1) With the intent to terrorize, or in reckless disregard of the risk of terrorizing, another person; or

(2) With intent to cause, or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation. [L 1972, c 9, pt of §1; am L 1979, c 184, §1(1); gen ch 1993]

§707-716 Terroristic threatening in the first degree. (1) A person commits the offense of terroristic threatening in the first degree if the person commits terroristic threatening:

(a) By threatening another person on more than one occasion for the same or a similar purpose;

(b) By threats made in a common scheme against different persons;

(c) Against a public servant arising out of the performance of the public servant’s official duties. For the purposes of this paragraph, “public servant” includes but is not limited to an educational worker. “Educational worker” has the same meaning as defined in section 707-711;

(d) Against any emergency medical services personnel who is engaged in the performance of duty. For purposes of this paragraph, “emergency medical services personnel” shall have the same meaning as in section 321-222; or

(e) With the use of a dangerous instrument.

Well, I don’t think Tim Chapman is affiliated with Al Quaida, so he must have just mouthed off and threatened someone bodily harm.

I am sure he has a rap sheet because I believe he was in prison with the “Dog”.

  2. on January 7, 2008 at 10:17 pm elfninosmom

Hiya, 4urpets – love your avatar photo! :-)

The “terroristic threatening” charge appears to be based upon his unspoken physical threat to run over the security guard with his truck.

That is a strange name for it, no doubt about that.

If he’s got a rap sheet more recent than Dog’s, he’s got a problem. Hawaii has enhanced sentencing for prior offenders who commit this particular crime.

Some people feed on negativity. I think forgiveness is the key to all this “smutt” wrote on this page. Pray for all the people that are only human after all. Jesus died on the cross so we have the right to be forgiven, that goes for you to Ms. elfninosmom. He who hudges will be judged in the end. You need to read your bible if you have one and get off the shit to hell. The 1st person who has not sinned pleae stand yp for you shoul ber the glory of this earth. God Bless the Chapmans and a special prayer for Tim, always remeber it could be you!

    Not-Quite-An-Angel:

I have numerous Bibles in multiple translations, thanks for asking. In fact, I have not only read the Bible in great detail, I have studied it. That’s why I am a humanist (look it up, you might learn something).

In a nutshell, you just completely wasted your time. Christianity is like voodoo in that respect; threats and curses don’t work unless the person you’re threatening or cursing is also a believer.

But hey, thanks for submitting your entry for the much-coveted “Frickintardistanian of the Year” award. :-)

I thin you just topped the dictionaries explanation for the word idiot. Read you post again, your great a chastising others, SHAME ON YOU!! I bet you the neighborhood gossip pres. Get real who cares, sticks and stones baby!!

Angel, it is hardly my fault that you are functionally illiterate (or maybe, just plain illiterate). It is also not my fault that you are gullible enough to champion a bunch of ne’er do wells and filthy-mouthed criminals who post bonds for people they know will not show up for court, just so they can call them every filthy name in the book and hunt them down like animals on national television.

May the Flying Spaghetti Monster be with you. Believe me, you are in dire need of his Ever-Noodly forgiveness.

But, since you have decided to attack me just because I wrote an entry on someone from Dog the Bounty Hunter, here’s a little something for you. How could any real Christian support a “man” like this one?

Considering all the weak journalism going around these days, it is possible that he was telling the truth. Maybe he was wearing underware, but who ever wrote this story first just put naked, and like this and all other sites, they just copied and pasted. plus, he may have had an extra pair of pants in the car because he travels alot. I dont even travel often, but I keep a spare pair of jeans in the car so I can wear shorts to work and change if I have to attened a meeting.

As a Blogger for Respect in the Media, I have joined with others calling for A&E NOT to bring back Dog the Bounty Hunter in July. His liberal use of the n-word and racist attitudes should not be tolerated by A&E or their advertisers.

  11. on June 19, 2008 at 9:22 pm ElfNinosMom

SJP, I agree, but for a bit different reason. Dog is an embarrassment to whites everywhere, and even an embarrassment to other bounty hunters. I cringe to think that people in other countries might see that show, and think that white Americans are like Dog.

He is a convicted murderer, and admits that he still is tempted to commit crime. He seemingly can’t speak without using filthy language, even when he knows he is being filmed for television. He preys upon people who he knows will not show up for court, calling them filthy names on national television and hunting them down like animals when they do exactly what he knew they would do.

When he has a dangerous client, he lets his kids (and even his wife) deal with them, and takes credit for it. He has a dozen children, but never bothered to marry most of their mothers. Likely as a result of having a father like him, most of his kids are also convicted felons.

I could go on, but suffice it to say that Dog the Bounty Hunter should never have been on television or touted as a “role model” in the first place. Shame on him, shame on A&E, and shame on A&E’s advertisers.

I think it would be nice if we could respect others opinions and their right to have them, even if you disagree. I personally think Dog was very wrong to use the N word but I think he’s human and made a bad mistake. I think he tries to be a good person and help people as well as the rest of his team but that’s just my opinion and opinions are like a-holes. Everybody has one..lol

  16. on July 24, 2008 at 2:25 am MarnieRose

I just read the book review about Dog’s book on this site and I stand corrected. I think I need to read it and learn a lot more about him than just what I have seen on TV before I form an opinion on what kind of person he is. I’m sorry. I should have kept my mouth shut..lol.

  17. on July 24, 2008 at 9:00 pm Roz

I for one am VERY PLEASED that Dog The Bounty Hunter has returned to TV.

I am a believer that one has to be perfect him/herself before throwing stones at anyone else.

How about it: Would you like to have YOUR private conversations — phone or otherwise — recorded and put on the air for all to hear!

Not everything is what it seems!

Dog’s son Tucker is the sleeze here. No matter what… A child does NOT do such a thing to a parent!

Dog’s kids are pieces of crap because that’s how he raised them. Read his book, he admits he was cracked out so bad that authorities took his children away.

So yes, everything is exactly what it seems.

I only wanted to find out about Tim Chapman disappearance from the show and stumbled across this crazy website! Elfninosmom, you need to get a real life and stop down talking everyone you come into contact with! Is your life really so bad that you have nothing good to say! Did Dog pick up one of your relatives? Why do you hate him so much? Shame on you for casting stones! Karma is a bitch!

  20. on July 31, 2008 at 2:41 pm Mary

I was looking into what happened to Tim this season. What I found was people bashing the Chapmans.Everything your calling Dog and the Dog Pound, well look into the mirror. I sure see abunch of haters here on this site. And if you hate Dog and his possie so much…STOP WATCHING HIM. I love Dog and will continue to watch. But I guess you people can all walk on water, and have never made a mistake before. Well you don’t sound too christian to me.You bash what Dog said, well take a good look at yourself..

  21. on July 31, 2008 at 4:14 pm ElfNinosMom

Mary: No, Dog did not pick up one of my relatives. Why do you ask, did he pick up one of yours?

I also never claimed to be a Christian. I just pointed out that Dog is a piss-poor example of a “Christian”, and I stand by that statement.

What you don’t seem to understand is that most people are not fans of Dog. That you think those who don’t like it are somehow inferior to you, speaks volumes about the level of your arrogance.

If you don’t like what’s on this blog, then don’t read it. Simple.

  22. on July 31, 2008 at 5:50 pm Mary

ElfNinosMom:Freedom of speech baby, or are you against that too?

  23. on July 31, 2008 at 6:00 pm Mary

By the way ElfNinosMom:You claim your so much better than everyone else, but unfortunately you can’t read. Where in my statement did I ask if Dog picked up one of your family? It seems to me, that you only hear and see what you want too. Read it again, I guess haters have a foggy mind. Just leave reality tv alone and go back to watching 7th Heaven…

  24. on July 31, 2008 at 6:41 pm ElfNinosMom

What in the hell makes you think I have nothing better to do than argue with you? For the love of FSM, you have posted three comments in the last few hours alone, on something I wrote over six months ago. You may not have a life, but I do.

You don’t seem to understand that this blog is my private property, and therefore you have NO rights here except the rights I allow you to have. Your free speech rights don’t mean that others have to listen to you, or that they can’t shut you up permanently if you are harassing them on their own property.

That being the case, you just earned yourself the right to be banned from this blog for harassment. Happy now?

  25. on August 1, 2008 at 5:28 pm ElfNinosMom

I got several more comments to this thread in my spam filter, all from “Mary” but pretending to be other people who were taking up for her.

All she really proved is that I was right to ban her.

  26. on August 5, 2008 at 7:00 am Bob

I’ll tell ya sista I gotta agree with Mary. I think you might be nuts. I stumbled across this place so I’m leaving my 2 cents and saying sianara.

    Go Dog Go!

  27. on August 5, 2008 at 5:39 pm ElfNinosMom

One, I’m not your “sista”. Two, what makes you think that I should care about your opinion of me, when I don’t even know you? Now, THAT’S nuts. LOL

Read Dog’s book. The man is insane, literally. He freely admits that he sees and talks to people who no one else can see or hear.

Of course, it’s much easier to watch tv and make snarky comments on blogs, than it is to actually know what you’re talking about.

    Well elfninosmom.

Wow, God has an account with Cox Communications in Atlanta. His IP address is 68-2-234-36 ROFLMAO!

I’m not the one who committed blasphemy by pretending to be God. Had you actually read the Bible for understanding as you claim, you would know that you have just committed the one unforgivable sin.

    Oops! LOL

Just want to let those who buy into to that chit about Dog being this tuff man of God routine, know that he is a Punk!! I unfortunately did a stretch in the pen about 30 years ago and let me tell you, he could not last the day in a prison without protective custody! He is a short, cartoonish looking punk who gets his kicks talking to people like he is somehow better. Ever wonder why all of these people he “arrests” come so easily after all the hype he gives about the danger? They are staged!! You are watching a telivision show!! If he wwent screaming into a house around here(Baltimore) after a fugitive, he’d come flyin back out swollen and bruised. the cops have guns and they don’t want to do it. He claims to be rehabilitated and clean…… BULL!!!! He still breaks the law on a regular basis and still has issues with controlled substances. Stop falling for that nonsence people

  35. on October 6, 2008 at 1:46 pm Andrew Griffiths

    Dear All,

But if someone commits a crime they have to go down whatever the cost is family or friends THATS THE LAW MAN.
    NO WAY OUT.

    Andrew

  36. on October 20, 2008 at 8:41 am Andy

I think you are very opinionated and you do not seem to mind writing such harmful things about a man who has come so far. This man is a saint to your nation. He gives the convict a second chance, but then he cleans up your streets if that convict refused to comply with that which society expects from them.

    What have you done?

When have you done anything worthwhile? When have you thought of other before yourself? When have you risked your money, your life, or your reputation to do a favour for a complete stranger?

I find it just sickening that you sat at your computer to put such effort into discrediting this man who has earned himself his reputation.

Who was it who tracked down Andrew Luster? Who stopped the man who drugged and raped many many women. The man gained himself over 80 counts of sexual crime against him, including oral copulation.

    Dog caught this man.
He gained no money, but instead paid out of his pocket.
He went to prison in Mexico AND faced deportation by US Marshalls.

So tell me. What? Where is the problem?
You think you can do a better job then please, be my guest.

  37. on October 20, 2008 at 8:42 am Andy

    This one is to Andrew.

We see what you’re saying, bra.
But we don’t know whether a crime was really committed.
It one was, then cool. He will be punished. But the question is, did he really commit a crime?

Ultimately, we shouldn’t use it as a time to trash Dog and his efforts.

  38. on October 20, 2008 at 5:34 pm ElfNinosMom

Andy: You need to read the comment guidelines before you comment here again. If you can’t stick to the subject at hand without attacking others, you are very quickly going to find yourself unable to comment here at all.

Show me even one study which concludes that Dog’s way of handling these people makes any difference in whether they reoffend, or that it serves any purpose except to make Dog feel good about chasing people down like animals, and humiliating them and their innocent families on national television so he can get fame and fortune for himself.

You can’t show me any studies, though, because his method simply doesn’t work. The truth is that Dog can’t even stop himself from reoffending.

Read his autobiography. He admits he was a crackhead (literally, he was addicted to crack cocaine) even while he owned his bail bond company. Child protection authorities removed his kids from his filthy house, which had been turned into a drug den, because he wasn’t even trying to take care of them. He was so far gone on drugs that the insurance company pulled his ability to write bonds. He and his kids have been repeatedly homeless because of his drug problems.

Yet you think this guy is a “national hero”? Please.

He chased Andrew Luster only because he was after the money and the fame, and because his mouth boxed him into a corner. He admits it in his book. And if he had done the capture correctly, by involving the proper authorities, he’d have gotten both. However, as usual, Dog thought the law didn’t apply to him.

Dog was arrested in Mexico because he has absolutely no authority to arrest anyone in a foreign country. He knew that, but he again thought he was above the law and his eye was on the money rather than doing what was legal. He acted like a loudmouth idiot during the capture, as usual, and his behavior is what alerted the Mexican police. So he brought that arrest completely upon himself.

He’s just lucky Luster was in Mexico rather than Thailand, or one of the other countries where he had allegedly been seen. If Dog had pulled that stunt anywhere else, he and his team would still be in a third-world prison.

So no, I don’t think he is a national hero. Far from it. I think he’s a sociopath who just happened upon a field where sociopathic behavior is a positive trait. I also think it’s disturbing that people are gullible enough to believe someone like him is a “national hero”.

Based upon the comments left on this blog, however, I suspect many of Dog’s most vociferous “fans” are actually nothing but sock puppets.

  39. on October 20, 2008 at 9:30 pm Andy

You really don’t like this man, do you?
You tell about personal attack on other commenters, but what about your attack on this man?

He has made mistakes, who hasn’t.
The amazing thing isn’t that made them, but that he took the chance to rebuild his life.
And time after time after time he has done that.

I appreciate that you may not think of him very highly, this is your right.

But the fact is, bra, he is pretty darn amazing.
His work has been recognised by many, many people.
And yeah, there are people who aren’t going to like this. But this is life. You can’t please everyone.

The Lord Jesus Christ, perfect and lived without sin, yet he had (and still has) enemies. Do you think he stopped to ask people whether they liked him or not? Do you think it overly bothers him that people will curse his name?

Duane Chapman has had an eventful life that many others can learn from. I’m not fully sure why you have a hard to accept that he has achieved something in his life.

I’m no expert, but it could be for any number of reasons.
But please, are you able to answer that? Are you able to say why you have such a distaste for a man that you haven’t even met?

  40. on October 20, 2008 at 11:03 pm ElfNinosMom

Read the rules again. The rules are against attacking people who are on this blog. Dog is not commenting here. Yet even if he were here, he is a public figure through his own design, so I don’t care what anyone has to say about him, as long as the comment has some basis in reality. I would however care very much if someone attacked you without provocation, since you are assumably a private citizen.

To answer your question ….. Dog believes the law applies to everyone but him. He also refuses to take responsibility for his own actions, and as his autobiography illustrates all too well, he always blames someone else even when his problems are clearly no one’s fault but his own. Both character traits are extremely distasteful to me.

You are wrong when you say I don’t like him, though. The truth is that I don’t consider him important enough to have strong feelings about him one way or the other. He’s just another guy with a reality television show, as far as I’m concerned. I did however give his book a positive review on this blog, and went so far as to recommend others read it, so not everything I have to say about him is negative.

In reality, I vacillate between finding his antics mildly amusing, and pitying him because he clearly has a few screws loose (in his book, he writes repeatedly that he sees and talks to “angels”, who appear to him in the guise of humans who others cannot see). I only addressed the issue of his background because you held him up as a “national hero”, and I felt it important to point out why he does not fit that description.

Plus, to be completely honest, I’m getting sick of Dog the Bounty Hunter fans attacking others on this blog. It was only about a week ago that I ended up having to ban a Dog fan for saying I had no business here (on my own blog, mind you) because I am not a Dog fan, and who is still trying (unsuccessfully) to post all kinds of vile and profane nonsense here. The hardcore Dog fans have not impressed me at all, needless to say.

I do however find it very telling that you are comparing Dog the Bounty Hunter to Jesus Christ. There is no comparison at all between them, but that you would make that comparison certainly says volumes about the pedestal upon which you have placed this man.

I’m not your “bra”, by the way, since I am a female and don’t know you.

  41. on October 22, 2008 at 4:03 am christina

I seriously think everyone is entitled to their opinion! I use to be a fan of dog the bounty hunter until I read facts. I have investigated such facts and have come to this conclusion…

A bail bondsmen is nothng more than a con artist. they front you the money to get out of jail and tack interest to it. If you accidently miss one court date they threaten your family, friends, and your children. wow your own children!!! loan shark loan shark!!! someone i want to worship

    NOT!!!

I cannot believe all this name calling, vindictiveness, and the profanities over a blog ,that happens to express one persons views.!!! there are wars going on all over the world , we are all in the middle of financial problems and all that can be ranted and raved over is a television programme, UNBELIEVABLE……… It’s a television programme for crying out loud, no-one forces you all to watch it . Over here in England we have on/off buttons on our tv’s

ElfNinosMom is obviously the only educated person present. No one else seems to have done any research at all. I am not posting my opinion. Let’s say we simply stick to the facts. The article was entitled “pure weirdness”, was it? I just heard Dog say “Valentimes” Day. American hero? I don’t believe Theodore Roosevelt or the great Martin Luther King, Jr. ever spoke of “Valentimes” Day.

  44. on October 23, 2008 at 5:25 am Lucy

I was just wondering why Tim Chapman is no longer on the show, googled it and in a round-about way ended up here. And now I know…….

It’s a bit odd that elfninosmom has such dislike for Duane Chapman yet has so much knowledge of him. Sort of obsessed with him in a very well versed, time consuming way. Creepy.

Turn the channels if you don’t like him. Of course, do NOT buy his book if you despise the man….because that’s just money in his pocket. Please don’t read it cover to cover and tell all about it….that just piques curiousity and the sideshow continues. Fame is fleeting and his spotlight is fading. (mostly of his own doing, huh?) Oh, maybe you should stop blogging about him for months on end too. Let it go already.

Not being cruel, just giving your blog and your comments a bit of critiquing. Do with this as you will: you come through as a narcissistic, arrogant individual, ready to denounce all who disagree with you. This is NOT a very humanistic approach to life. I’d recommend a little less talking and “self” and a bit of humility.

    Orange juice! Messy, messy man.

    Oh my.

I just cruised your blog. (piqued curiousity?) So you are sort of the almighty creator and ruler of this “frickintardistan” and have followers and everything? People are actually interested in this sort of writing and are requesting mugs?

Is it so odd that people love the Chapmans and follow their every move, watch every show and buy the t-shirts?

    That’s all from me.

Lucy: You’re right, I’m a narcissistic and arrogant individual, while Dog the Bounty Hunter – a drug-abusing convicted murderer who intentionally dresses like a self-contained freak show in order to draw attention to himself – is worthy of endless praise.

I have been quite tolerant of the incredibly rude and even abusive pro-Dog comments here, but I’m going to just lay it on the line at this point.

What the hell is wrong with you people? You worship this man, when he has done absolutely nothing to deserve your admiration. So I’m not the one who is obsessed and creepy, believe me. In fact, it’s the obsessed creepiness of the Dog fans which originally made me wonder what anyone sees in him. And frankly, I still don’t get it, except that hardcore Dog fans simply don’t appear to be intelligent enough to understand the truth.

Why do you think the US government was content to let Dog and his team rot in a Mexican jail, and refused to intervene on their behalf even while they were in this country, when Mexico chose to extradite them after they jumped bond? Why do you think a federal judge not only refused to pay Dog the bounty on Luster, but decided to read him the riot act about his behavior in the Luster case? Those are actually very easy questions to answer, and common sense alone should tell you that the situation is not at all what fans have been led to believe.

See, Dog is a convicted felon with a lifelong history of not only breaking the law, but also believing himself above the law; so there was never any doubt about whether he broke the laws of Mexico. He committed a criminal act by abducting a person off the street in a foreign country, and by so doing he forfeited the protections normally accorded US citizens in foreign countries. The truth of the matter is that he could have brought the proper authorities into the Luster capture, for the protection of himself and his team, and knew he should do that, but he didn’t do it because he didn’t want to share credit for the capture either in terms of money or publicity. In the process he got himself and his team thrown into a Mexican prison, including his own son, and they were all vilified and dragged through the criminal justice system in this country as well.

Yet this guy is your hero, to the point that you feel justified in attacking a complete stranger on their own blog for daring to not speak well of him? Get real. Better yet, get smart.

If Dog were actually worthy anyone’s admiration, and if he were really in it to put a rapist in prison rather than to get fame and fortune for himself, he’d have played by the book to make sure Mexico didn’t decide to let Luster go. In fact, Luster was almost released, because the Mexican police were so busy dealing with Dog’s ridiculous behavior. Had Dog done things the way he knew they should be done, potentially releasing Luster would never have even been an issue.

I am sorry if you can’t understand what I just explained for the umpteenth time, but your lack of mental acuity is hardly my problem.

Either way, if you think your idiotic insults against me are going to stop me from saying what I think about Dog, you’re not only stupid, but crazy as well. In fact, it only makes me want to write even more about him, because I think people should know what he really is, and more importantly, what he really isn’t.

As for your very strange comment about Frickintardistan …. You need to learn to read for comprehension. The name of the blog is a joke, as is clearly set forth on the blog. Of course, I wouldn’t expect you to understand that, since the frickin’ ‘tards never do.

Nevertheless, this particular conversation is over. If anyone wants to sing the praises of Dog here, you’ll have to wait until the next time he does something which catches my attention. I wrote this almost a year ago, and I’m not going to keep discussing it in comments ad nauseum, especially when the man is barely worth the amount of time it took me to write the original post.
