I’m sure we’ve all seen the commercials about Enzyte, the “natural male enhancement” pills advertised heavily on television. The commercials show a really clean-cut guy named “Bob” who tells his friends and neighbors about Enzyte, and his wife (who looks like she came straight out of the 1950s) stands by in adoration, apparently because the increased size of his manhood has made her a happy woman. They use all kinds of double entendres to get their point across, such as saying that Bob is “swelling with pride”.
Um, yeah. LOL
Most people realized it was a fraud all along – I mean, c’mon, even the commercials were a joke – but many didn’t, and found out the hard way. One eventually sued, which is something the company probably didn’t foresee considering that a lawsuit would be an admission of having a small penis (or at least believing one has a small penis); and as a result, a former VP testified that the whole thing was completely made up.
James Teegarden Jr., the former vice president of operations at Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, explained Tuesday in U.S. District Court how he and others at the company made up much of the content that appeared in Enzyte ads.
He said employees of the Forest Park company created fictitious doctors to endorse the pills, fabricated a customer satisfaction survey and made up numbers to back up claims about Enzyte’s effectiveness.
“So all this is a fiction?” Judge S. Arthur Spiegel asked about some of the claims.
“That’s correct, your honor,” Teegarden said.
As if that’s not bad enough, they also made it damn near impossible for people to cancel their automatic monthly subscription, or get their money back under the “guarantee”.
He said first-time customers were automatically enrolled in a “continuity program” that sent Enzyte to their homes every month and charged their credit cards without authorization.
“Without continuity, the company wouldn’t exist,” Teegarden said. “It was the sole profit of the business.”
If customers complained, he said, employees were instructed to “make it as difficult as possible” for them to get their money back. In some cases, Teegarden said, Warshak required customers to produce a notarized statement from a doctor certifying Enzyte did not work.
“He said it was extremely unlikely someone would get anything notarized saying they had a small penis,” Teegarden said.
While the idea that a pill would increase the size of one’s manhood is goofy to the point of being comical, I can’t really laugh about this. Enzyte is preying upon men’s vulnerabilities and insecurities, just like fraudulent breast enhancement products have long preyed upon female vulnerabilities and insecurities.
Enzyte and its founder, Steve Warshak, are being accused by the government of engaging in a $100 million conspiracy to defraud consumers. That’s definitely not funny.
If that fraud can be proven – and it sure looks like it can be – the people involved need to go to prison for a very long time.

Hat tip Stupid Evil Bastard
Well, that explains a lot!
Enzyte is not a scam! Berkeley does not claim that enzyte will make a man’s penis larger. What is does claim is that after it builds up in his system within 90 days, it will increase the bloodflow to his erection to make it stronger, fuller, and firmer. And as for the continuity program, many many many companies have continuities. It does automatically come with the trial and the customer is made aware of that before their credit card number is ever even taken. The customer care number is also given over the phone and does come with the package. However its not something that all first time customers are enrolled in. BPN has several package offers where continuities are OPTIONAL! If a continuity is not something that sounds good to the customer they do have the option to get one of the packages because at least then they’d be able to see their maximum results anyway. But to say its a scam is not correct because it is not the purpose of the company to steal money.
A Person: How interesting that you are posting from Cincinnati, which is coincidentally the same city where that company is located.
Don’t spam my blog with corporate propaganda. Here is the truth, from dpkp.com:
Let me guess, they’re all innocent and have been railroaded by “The Man”. Puh-lease.
Whe the hell should they go to prision for a very long time? Because now not only do you have a small penis but your an idiot too for buying this product. If anything I think the people who bought the product should get locked up for being that stupid!! It is so much easier to point blame at someone else but the fact is, you all are looking for easy ways to earn a few bucks, these guys were just smart enough to figure out how.
Anthony: I’m a female (thus “Mom” in my nick). I therefore don’t have a penis, and I never bought Enzyte.
Nice try at blaming the victims of a scam, though.
I just learned that My man is taking enzyte. He had them hidden in his drawer. Do I need to have concerns for him or about him cheating?
I’m seeing Enzyte ads on the TeeVee again. What’s up with this?
Good question, Irlandese. I haven’t seen them yet. Are they the same as the old ads?
Exact same ads, though they may have find print on them now…
Enzyte definitely doesn’t work. There are vast amounts of disgruntled enzyte users that who’s reviews and comments you can read on the internet, for example this page enzyte com

What happened to the VP?
Intresting article, I’m sure If Enzyte is a scam or didn’t work
there woiuld be more than one case of someone that was not happy and the commercials would stop.
ENM NOTE: I removed your link, because I don’t want my blog used to promote “male enhancement” blogs.
I always saw enzyte commercials as being for erectile dysfunction and I had never heard of any claims of fraud. Appears they have a new way of fraud. I ordered a free sample of enzyte about 2 weeks ago after getting a sample of Cialis from my doctor(with the hopes of something that treated ED for less than $12/day). Cialis worked almost too well as that even friction from walking would cause the desired effect at an undesired time. That being said, in comparison, enzyte did nothing, zero, zilch. To my suprise when I called to cancel(I ordered on internet), every single phone # they offer is a constant busy signal(3 days in a row, at least 15 times/day). I paid by credit card and luckily canceled the old and had a new card issued before any unauthorized charges appeared. Bottom line, Enzyte doesnt work and apperantly neither do their phone lines.
A company I used to work did the packaging for this product. So, unseen, I treated myself to 3 months supply. No change, no nothin’. Now I watch their ads to see how tactful their wording is. Such a joke.

i can honestly admit, i’m not john holmes or anything. but the only person’s opinion of the “equipment” that should matter is your partners. i look down & see something pretty unimpressive. but the wife loves me & has no problem with my equipment. that’s all that matters.
to pay for anything that supposedly gives male enhancement, that’s just weird. it’s all genetics…no pill is going to change it
