“Dog the Bounty Hunter” back in production

February 27, 2008 by ElfNinosMom

“Dog The Bounty Hunter” is back in production, and will be returning soon to a television near you.

I suspect a lot of people won’t be watching anymore though. Some people won’t watch due to his profanity-laced tirade against his son’s African-American girlfriend, which was the cause for his show being suspended in the first place. Some won’t watch because the show is too predictable. Some won’t watch because they’ve found other shows they like better in that time slot. I won’t watch for all of those reasons.

However, hardcore fans will be excited to again every week see Dog badmouth someone, hunt them down, cuss them out, offer them a drink and a smoke, then introduce them to the Lord. Hallelujah!

The charges against Dog in Mexico are no more, incidentally, so he’s free to spread his freakishly peculiar brand of justice unencumbered.

In other Dog news, Dog’s son Tucker (the one who released the n-word tape) has been arrested on a parole violation. Apparently this somehow plays into the reason why he released the tape; allegedly, shortly before that tape, Dog had threatened to turn Tucker in to his parole officer for using drugs.

For anyone who was living under a rock (or just wants a few laughs), here’s the best video I’ve found on the Dog’s n-word fiasco:

No word on Tim Chapman, who was nailed for being naked in his truck during daylight in a public area, almost running over the security guard who told him to put his pants on, and fleeing the scene like a maniac. I wrote about that fiasco here, in case you missed it.

The comic relief from this particular family just keep on coming. Dog’s got a dozen kids, so I’m sure we’ll be provided with amusement for years to come.

Mathis, I won’t say you’re a racist, but I will say you’re an illiterate dumbass.

Nah, that’s not true. You are a racist too. An illiterate racist dumbass.

I bet that even Dog the Bounty Hunter would agree with me on that, with a few extra profanities thrown in for good measure. Then he’d offer you a drink of water and a smoke, and pray with you.

I won’t do the water or the smoke, or the praying. I’ll just call you an illiterate racist dumbass, and walk away.

people make mistakes all the time and in thebible it says you are judged accordingly to your wrong doings and as harsh as you judge others. who is playing god here? i enjoyed the action his family brought to us.

the n word isnt just a black person it is anyone who is low life non productiveor sorry individual

Yes, faireydust, you’re right. I’m playing god by writing about Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wacky family. That makes perfect sense, I don’t know why I didn’t see that before now. And to think I thought I was just amused by them.

I was being facetious, by the way. I suspect you couldn’t figure that out.

And no, the “n word” does not ever apply to white people, and you know that as well as I do. We all know it, and your saying otherwise (or Dog saying otherwise) doesn’t make it true. The “n word” only is used against people with dark skin, and it is used by white people in order to demean them.

By the way, your email address is not your website. It’s your email address. You don’t have to put in a website here, though if you do, others will be able to visit and see what you have written. You just have to put in an email address so the site knows you are a real person and not a spambot. :-)

Im happy to see dog back fu to all those people that got offended they can call white people cracker and other names but call eachother nig@#r but we cant??? STUPIDO

  11. on April 20, 2008 at 4:13 pm ElfNinosMom

Marie, I’m pretty sure when black people call each other the “n word”, it means something quite different than when white people call them that same word. Taken in context, it is quite clear what Dog meant by that word, and it wasn’t a term of endearment.

Dog is the stupid one. The man had his own television show, and lots of money, but for some reason using that one particular word was so important to him that he was willing to lose it all, just so he could keep saying it.

Yes, Dog is indeed a STUPIDO.

I dont watch the dog, but I believe people should have the right to say what ever it is they want to say. Why should only white people have their jobs in jeopardy because of it? I think the only way to cure racism is to hold everyone to the same standards. I know that the n word is emotionally charged, but if you dont give it power, it will have none. Showing respect and treating others fairly, doesnt mean we have to bring ourselves down. By the way, I have used the n word, and will continue to, because to me it is just as bad as being called a cracker or whitey. So until there is some sort of revolution against the use of other derogitory terms, if you act like a nigger, your a nigger. If you act like white trash, your white trash.

I’m glad that Dog the Bounty hunter is comming back.

I for one will never judge a white person who uses the “n” word, as long as black people use it themselves, because that is a double standard, and double standards are worse than racism.

I people want to eradicate this word so much, stop putting it in Rap songs, stop Chris Rock using it, but then why?
It’s just a word, N.I.G.G.E.R, that’s it, a six letter word, that only means something because people are so scared of the “racism” it holds up, If all of a sudden black people said “hey, i don’t like being called black, i want to be a “n”….however unlikely, we would all go “oh, ok sorry N,” and there is nothing wrong with that, how we identify ourselfs as people is up to us, But when we start putting words above their meaning (supposed or not) we start giving power to that word, and in this case the power will be taken by every true racist and biggot the world over and used to destroy people, to demeine them, and belittle. All because we claim to be educated, allowing a word from 100’s of years ago to cause fear in one nation and power to another, whichever way you look at it, there should be over use of the word, obliterate it until it means nothing.

Finally, which is the racist comment here?

A: White man: Peace out Nigga

B: Black man: I don’t want to live near white people

C: Black man: hey Nigger, what’s up

If you answered A and C, you really need to understand what Racism is,

PS, the colours in that statement are interchangeable

As a Blogger for Respect in the Media, I have joined with others calling for A&E NOT to bring back Dog the Bounty Hunter in July. His liberal use of the n-word and racist attitudes should not be tolerated by A&E or their advertisers.
