7-year-old brings crack to school
March 1, 2008 by ElfNinosMom
You’re probably not going to believe this one, but I got it from ABC News.
A seven-year-old in Trenton, New Jersey, brought 70 grams of crack to school.
To put this into perspective, an ounce of crack is 28 grams.
The boy’s 10-year-old sister turned him in to school officials, and not at all surprisingly, it turns out that their parents are crack dealers. It appears they gave the crack to their little boy to hold, because he can’t really be busted for possession.
Both children have been removed from the home, not at all surprisingly, and the parents have been arrested on drug charges and for endangering the welfare of a child.
If authorities are smart, they will never send those children back to their parents. Of course, at this point the damage may already be done for that poor little boy.
Yes, I believe it. Some of the things I confiscated as a teacher pot from an 8-year-old and a ninja star, fire works and homemade numchucks from another 8-year-old. In fact the only drugs I ever confiscated were from an 8-year-old. Oh, wait I didn’t confiscate the pot, he gave it to me as a present.
That’s outrageous!
awesome! pleased to hear kids staying in school and trying new hobbies.
