I would watch out for those universals. I got last year to replace my failing Dell adapter and then within a week my six month old battery failed, puking sludge as it went.

I went back to using Dell parts. I actually found a really good price on a new battery and adapter, but I can't remember the site right now. I'll look for it when I go home.

Oh, and depending on how much you use that laptop, eventually the screen will go dark. Don't buy a whole new LCD. It's usually the inverter which is cheap (last one I replaced cost $15 on eBay) and easy to replace.

But anyway, welcome back!
