You may remember Blind Melon as the band who did the “Bee Girl” song/video (actually called “No Rain”, it showed an awkward little girl dancing in a bee outfit). You may also remember Blind Melon as the band whose lead singer (Shannon Hoon) died way too young of a cocaine overdose, on the tour bus. [...]

Teenagers seeking leadership positions for a national political party
Posted in Uncategorized on October 25, 2008 | 3 Comments »
This is a cross-post from Last Free Voice. Members of the political party in question seem to think that I am engaging in “ageism” by speaking out against young teens being elected to run a national political party. What do you think?
As point of reference for those not familiar with third party politics, BTP stands [...]
Good news – all crime has finally been solved in Ohio!

Well, at least it would seem so, since cops arrested an 88-year-old woman for refusing to return a football which her teenage neighbors threw into her yard for the umpteenth time, after she had previously warned them about doing that.
Whatever happened to kids being told to keep their toys out of others’ yards, or they’ll [...]
Just add bedwetting and firesetting, and you’ve got a trifecta

Todd Allan Treviso has since plead guilty, but I can’t seem to access the urls which reveal his sentence. Either way, there is something seriously deviant about anyone who would even think of doing something like this, much less actually do it.
A Westland teenager has been charged with sodomizing, torturing and killing a cat.
Police [...]

This crime occurred on May 12, 2008. I will see if I can find an update on the case, as it seems the boyfriend may be claiming insanity. This is another post you probably don’t want to read unless you have a strong stomach.
Edward Allen Covington has been charged this afternoon with three first-degree counts [...]
Methadone really is dangerous, people. Seriously.

This was a 2006 death, but I am posting it anyway because of the allegation that the adult didn’t know Methadone is dangerous. After giving her daughter’s friend a bottle of penicillin and a bottle of Methadone for a mere sore throat, the teen took 18 Methadone pills, and obviously, died of an overdose.
A woman [...]
Moms Gone Wild: Mother starves 4-month-old to death, baby weighed only 4 pounds

Note: This death occurred on April 17, 2007. I have looked for an update, since the mother is alleged to have possibly suffered from a mental illness, but didn’t see one. Does anyone else have an update on this case?
A Phoenix couple was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of their child.
Police and firefighters [...]

Six-year-old kidnapped by drug cartel

Cole Puffinburger was just a normal little six-year-old boy, until around 7 am Wednesday morning.
That’s when police officers showed up at his parents’ home in Las Vegas, and demanded to see little Cole’s grandfather, Clemens Tinnemeyer.
Problem is, Cole’s grandfather doesn’t live there anymore, and hasn’t been seen since May. In fact, Cole’s grandfather had been [...]

Your words to me just a whisper
Your face is so unclear
I try to pay attention
Your words just disappear
‘Cause it’s always raining in my head
Forget all the things I should have said
So I speak to you in riddles
‘Cause my words get in my way
I smoke the whole thing to my head
And feel [...]
Update on Kennedy v Louisiana

I previously covered the potential rehearing in the case of Kennedy v Louisiana.
The US Supreme Court has now declined to rehear the case. This means that it is not permissible in the United States for a state to execute a defendant for child rape.
