The progeny of a prostitute and a schizophrenic, I am an eccentric humanist libertarian with a weird sense of humor.  I am extremely introverted, but not at all shy.  My subtitle, “Shotgun of Warm Humanitarianism”, actually describes my personality very well.

I am of Scots-Irish descent, as you’ve probably ascertained from my appearance. Yes, that is my natural hair color.

I worked in the criminal defense field for 20+ years, and now write about criminology topics for a living.  I am a member of the American Society of Criminology, the Authors Guild, and the Society of Professional Journalists.   

I got my nickname “ElfNinosMom” because ElfNino is my grown son’s old RPG nickname, and all his online friends called me ElfNino’s Mom. It’s a play on the name of the weather phenomenon (and is also the name of a hilarious old comedy routine from Henry Rollins) but as written my nom de plume means “mother of the elfen child”. His RPG character was always an elf, and he has very curly dark blond hair so he kind of looks like the main character from the movie “Elf”, so it works on multiple levels.

That of course means that ElfNino is not my son’s real name, so if you post a comment suggesting otherwise (you’d be surprised how many people over the years have made that incredibly stupid assumption), I will point at you and laugh uproariously, and actively encourage others to do the same. You have thus been warned.

I am a widow, and am in a very happy longterm committed relationship.  I therefore am not at all interested in dating you.  

This blog, “Adventures In Frickintardistan”, is written strictly for adults due to the subject matter.  It’s mostly about crimes which catch my attention for some reason, but I also throw in lots of other subjects which interest me.

Frickintardistan is wherever frickin’ ‘tards reside. It therefore can be anywhere, but is especially common on the internet. I made up that word, incidentally. If you are offended by the term “frickin’ ‘tard” because you think I am insulting those with an intellectual disability, then you are, yourself, a frickin’ ‘tard.

I also am a longtime contributor on the award-winning anti-fraud site Quatloos! where I gleefully expose financial scammers in excruciatingly painful (at least for them) detail.  There, my honorary title is the “Black Ink Slinger of the Pirate Presses”, for obvious reasons.

A “quatloos” is a form of currency on Star Trek. No, I am definitely not a Trekkie.  However, my involvement on Quatloos is why I don’t use my real name or location on the internet, since what I do there tends to piss off some extremely dangerous people.

My old blog, which concentrated mostly on exposing fraud, is The Rampant Anti-PAMite. A PAMite is a person who follows the teachings of Paul Andrew Mitchell, but can also be used to describe those who make ludicrous legal arguments in general. I made up that word as well.

I also had a blog about a wacky 2008 presidential candidate at Gene Chapman For President of the United States of America, Incorporated?  That blog is no longer active, because the candidate dropped out when he realized no one was ever going to send him a dime. It’s definitely worth a look for those of you who are interested in fringe politics and/or nutjobs, though.
